I don't care how overdone this trope is. I thrive off of characters who start off as enemies and become best buds as a result of good character development. And that's why half of my ocs have this dynamic.

The Dragon Prince has a good use of this trope. Rayla and Callum start off with attempted murder and end up best buds :) It's a rocky road, but they got there, and they'd die for each other without hesitation now.

I've experienced this first hand when I was in middleschool. Argued with a guy literally every day for a year or two. Following year I walked up to him the first day, said "truce?" and we shook hands. Best friends for the rest of middleschool. I still don't really know how that happened
