I’m 69 years old and a Trump supporter but I found myself struggling because I always liked Bobby Kennedy and listened to him and read his book about Fauci. Kennedys have always been democrats, but then he said many times the Democratic Party now is not the party of his uncle or father. And the way he was vilified, it made me angry. I’m 3rd generation transmission line and substation contractor with about 15 years experience. My Father has 40+ year and my Grandfather has close to 60 years experience. They both have been speaking and worried about these issues around our infrastructure my entire life. They both were pleasantly surprised on Mrs. Amaryllis knowledge on the our electrical grids vulnerability.

One thing I’d like to bring up in addition to what she said and I’m sure she’s aware of, is the subject of materials. It’s not only the transformers that are made over seas, it is to the point now we’re literally every piece of material used is made outside the United States a lot like everything else. This is the main concern for my grandfather, and my dad, which remember a time where a lot of those specific materials were made in specific parts of the country. Even now the lead times for all materials on a project are 4-6 months at best and 8-12 months for certain pieces. The these pieces are as simple as proper nuts and bolts hardware. Yes literally nuts and bolts….
