Thanks for the commentary. However, any discussion on fascism that does not include large corporate-government collaboration, government-media collaboration, and suppression of dissent of political enemies through legal intimidation isn’t complete. I’d submit both parties are involved in these tactics, but one more than the other. The strength of our union has been in the diffuse power the states have and the limited power given to the federal government. I suggest a focus on this structure, rather than political ideology, will keep us from the ills of authoritarian central government.

Until the midpoint of this year, I had been caught up in the whole Trump agenda. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I was a full on MAGA Trumper. But I was a general supporter of what I thought would be a better administration for our overall quality of living in our country. I decided to stop listening to conservative media and local rhetoric (also influenced by the same media sources) and I began to look at actual policies and started checking factual information. Upon making this decision, it didn’t take me long to realize that I had been deceived by rhetorical ideas which center more around conspiracy theories and propaganda than actual policy and progress for our country. I’m proud to say that I am a democratic supporter and I actually learned that I am a social democrat, after learning what I truly value and believe. Thank God I’m on the right side of freedom and democracy! Thank you for these videos. I wish you a million subscribers I by the end of the year 😃

I see a spectrum diagram represented better as a circle/dial with different layers, like tree rings, as necessary, than a linear one because the autocratic/dictatorial side can also be seen within extreme left systems. All forms of government share some characteristics of other forms and aren't 100% socialistic, democratic, capitalistic, autocratic, etc. They all borrow from one another, some for the benefit of society others to benefit a small group or individual.

2:13 i take issue with this idea. Equating conservatism to "moral foundations" implies that the left has none. I've heard this narrative a LOT on the right. They say that b/c the left has more unreligious, atheistic or deconstructed individuals, that it is a party devoid of morality. We really need to stop propping up this goofy narrative. A non religious or atheistic person on the left is absolutely capable of having a moral foundation. Imo, i see more value in the latter. ie., in a person who bases their morality upon doing what is right and good, than a person whose moral foundation is born of fear of punishment (doing good bc you're afraid god will punish you if you don't)
