Yes, I totally love the slower pace to The Mandalorian. People have forgotten what an episodic TV show is like and how fun it actually is to get the answers to your questions spread out over a season/several episodes. They are so used to these streamed shows where it is released all at once and every single episode has to have some hard hitting OMG moment to make you go to the next episode and devour the thing over the course of a weekend. This is how they make their money since they are not running ads during commercial breaks for sponsors like on network TV. But Jon lets the story breathe and unfold in its own time, and the more questions we have, the more likely we will come back week after week to keep watching the show and trying to get the answers.

I honestly don't understand why more streaming platforms do that. Disney+ is guaranteed to get 2 months of subscription fees--3 months, actually, since the release date of each season seems to fall in the end of the month--out of hardcore fans of the show who don't want to risk having it spoiled by waiting until the full season is out. That seems to make more sense to me than other services that drop all 10 episodes of a hit show at one time, and people subscribe for one month--or one of those 1 week trial periods--watch the show, and cancel. So keep doing your thing, Jon...in fact, if you want to make some episodes LONGER than 30 minutes, we are panting for that...
