Running the RC on my 11 Pro and it’s much better than iOS 17 don’t listen to the rubbish people tell u not to update! They probably haven’t tested it on those phones and used it daily!

Really! You present no hard facts or figures to back your claims. Why would Apple provide a detailed list of compatible phones which can be upgraded to IOS 18? Please do better research before posting out poor advice.

To anyone using an older device please update your phone if you can,
1. Improves quality of Life
2. Actually reduces the over consumption of power by the CPU to improve youe battery life.
3. Yes some new features are not compatible, No, your phone will not throttle your CPU to try those features if anything it give you more features like;
i. Game mode to reduce background processes while gaming
ii. A new look and functions to your control panel
iii. New customization options and features
iv. More depth to usage informations and more.
4. Security upate.
5. Easy compatible with other devices ie. your pc or other iphones
6. Reduces the risk of data leakage and more...
All the aboved mentioned are available on any device that can update to IOS 18...

Upgraded to iOS 18 on my iPhone XR 64 gig. No issue whatsoever. Upgrade it without a thought! Battery health was at 82% on iOS 17 and surprisingly it stayed the same and did not reduce on iOS 18.

Updating my awesome iPhone 13 with 256 gb 😊 battery health is at 93 % after two n a half years 😊 my storage is at 76 gb out of 256 gb 😂

The battery health and ram storage are not going to make a difference between iOS17 and iOS18. If your phone has room to for iOS17 then it has enough room for iOS18. You will just need a bit of free storage to run the iOS 18 install, when that is done its not going to take up much more (if any) than iOS17 did. As long as the iOS18 update runs then you're good to go.

I have XS with 75% battery, It runs Smooth & I don't have much problems....
At Least I have the darn Pause button for video recording finally with IOS 18

I would still suggest to upgrade!

I lost 4% battery health after updating and storage is almost full, Apps lags, jitters and behaves abnormally, sometime it forgets which wallpaper I applied. It’s not optimised for older phones.

Ios 18 from 17 is very small update, it wont affect your phone at all, dont listen to anyone saying dont

Or this kind of special case: You are going to get a new iPhone next year, and you are sure your old iPhone can survive by that time so you can still upgrade it anyway to get use to the new feature before you big upgrade.
