I’ve been working on budgets with 3 15-20$ RBs 6:27 this is exactly what I’ve been thinking nom these guys early and go hard on WRs

Good vid (there's not enough auction content out there). I assume drafting 3 QBs in the first mock wasn't intentional? That lineup would've looked far more attractive with Jaylen Wright & Braelon Allen instead of Cousins/Stafford burning two slots. The second draft is a work of art

I actually love this strategy. Like you mentioned RB has such a high bust rate historically at the early rounds. In a 4WR PPR format, I think hammering WR and getting an elite TE or QB is the way to go early. Then you can scoop up a ton of RBs later for cheap in hopes that one hits like Kyren did last year. Worse case scenario your juggling your rb lineup week to week.

Zero RB requires you to get much more depth at elite or near elite WR. Shawn Siegele, the Godfather of zero rb, states that the goal is to end up with 6 of the top 15 scoring receivers by year’s end. That has become much harder over the years as savvy drafters shifted to receiver heavy builds, but the general idea remains the same. I’d say in an auction if you’re going zero rb, probably 5 of your top 6 spends should be WR. Be warned, however: you will get a terrible grade using this approach. You’ll feel better about that when you’re holding the trophy at the end of the season.

I always shoot for at least 1 top RB. Then take my chances on a breakout.

Wish they would list the buy price next to the names on the draft grade pages.

Definitely not worth it. I realize it’s only one year but Pierce/Sanders/Dobbins/Akers were major busts, and all four were the top RB dead zone per ADP
