Hi, l used to own a 1902?Hornsby Akroyd 4NHP Horizontal blow lamp start engine. It was very easy to start by turning the flywheel backwards against the compression it would then fire and run in the right direction at 120 rpm without any problems.

Are these old engines reliable enough that you could automate the fuel and lubrication system in order to run 24/7? Would made a great off grid power source if belted to a generator.
