Some of you will know I've already shown how to do this but it was at the end of a 40 minute video so I suspect a lot of people missed it. Though given the number of comments on yesterday's video I could be mistaken...

I've probably watched this video 30 times in the past 6 years i tried to use blender from times to times. Really, it seems to be the only video on youtube to adress this exact issue. Thank so much. Haha maybe I'll come back here again next year....

Thank you! As a recent convert from Maya this was very helpful. I saw it in your longer video, but it is easy to forget.

In the recent versions of Blender the best way to achieve this is by using the Compositor.

Node wrangler can mix way faster. You did do a video on that addon. GO check the shortcuts

Cool technique and very useful indeed. Thanks for sharing

With Node Wrangler, you can select both background shaders and then Ctrl + Numpad 0 to quickly mix them. Do you know if Use Camera Ray can also be used somehow to prevent the HDRI background from showing through transparent objects?

Thanks for taking the effort of making these videos and sharing Your knowledge.
((Please don't take this as criticism, possibly just a suggestion, but I find that You (like many others) have such a high DPI that when You demonstrate something it can be very hard to see exactly what You do. So if possible it might be worth considering using a lower "DPI" (OR possibly just scale up the GUI) in videos that don't necessarily need the "huge screen estate".
Just a thought, it might just be me and my combination of "old eyes and screens" that makes this a problem))
Again thanks for Your excellent content.
Best regards

Thanks. I was trying to get an image which is rendered in eevee and had got bloom effect. in @2020 blender isnt able to render bloom effects in png. So i wanted to at least remove the background. i mean i didnt want to hdr's background so tried transparent . But when i rendered and learned the issue from the internet i SHOCKED. So i couldnt get my bloomy and unbackgrounded render. And i at least add an black background without losing hdr lightnings. Probably i fucked the english but hope you get it :D
