I’m looking into both of these and I’m leaning towards the PayPal card. I’ve had a PayPal for years and use it for a lot of my online shopping. Also, for the Citibank, if you buy something and leave a balance you only end up getting 1% cash back and then the interest would accrue effectively canceling out the cash back right? That would be outside the initial 18 month period but that’s the downside I assume. I pay my statement balance off every month and I think the PayPal is better overall for me.

Do I only need a Paypal account? Do you pay the card thru the PayPal site? Or do you need a synchrony account? Also can I monitor the card thru PayPal app or only on the site?

Is the Citi DCB card only 2% after you pay something off and really 1% otherwise?
