Canning Day & Testing our Water | SimPure Reverse Osmosis vs Berkey

SimPure recently gifted me their tankless reverse osmosis water filtration system. I was hesitant at first because we had a Berkey I bought last year. After seeing several articles on the Berkey I thought I would give theirs a try and I was shocked at how much better the reverse osmosis system did!

I wanted to thank you for telling us about the SimPure reverse osmosis water system! My husband and I bought it and had to pay someone to install it, but it’s great! We just have the spigot but I’m satisfied with that. I tested the TDS on our tap water and it was 496. The SimPure water tested at 4 TDS. I got mineral drops to add back into the water because the ro system removes most everything. I no longer have to buy bottled water at the store.

Interesting about the water filtration systems. We've heard for years that the Berkey was the top of line, highly recommended. I'm surprised to hear your research and glad you shared it. I always like honest reviews from someone you know vs the paid ads. You're such a natural in the kitchen, I love watching. I love your dish here that you are using…I just found some 2 sauce pans with the lids and a smaller casserole dish with the lid…what size is this one you are using?…it looks to me either a 2 or 3 quart size…I like how deep it is…THANK YOU 😊

I found my first flower on the tomato plants today. Guess it's the simple things in life that make me happy. I also found quite a few volunteer tomatoes that came up fro m last years crop. I've done all kinds of canned tomatoes but have never made tomato sauce. Maybe I should try that this year. How is your garden coming along?

I just ordered the Simpure water filter. We have an Alexapure water filter and just like your Berkey I dont feel it it filtering all that well. You just never know what’s in the tap water. I’m excited to finally get good water.
