Uploading again to see if i get the HDR10 version this time.
3 days since i uploaded the last HDR10 video and its still in SDR
Something must have gone wrong there so i try again..

If this one gets the HDR10 version faster i will delete the other one.

QDOLED is going to be something special in 2025 or so when the bright highlights are raised even more.

Thankyou for this. Deffo a win for the led here. Look at those electric highlights...just too dull on the oled!

Finally the HDR version is up.
As you can see the QN90B Crushes the S95B with much brighter highlights and brighter colors.
And higher 3D depth thanks to the higher dynamic range. (More details fits in the QN90B image)
QN90B is the TV to get (if you dont watch in a pitch black room..read my sticky comment about it)

1900 nits vs 1020 nits
No ABL vs ABL (Bright scenes looks flat and dull in HDR on the S95B)
PWM 1080 lines of native motion resolution vs the dead looking Sample and hold motion with its 300 lines of motion resolution.

First time since 2013 that a TV has the pin sharp and natural Plasma tv like motion.
Last time it was the Plasma TVs can you believe it ;)
Now 4K and also HD really comes to life on the QN90B.
You will see details in motion that you have never seen before.
The pin sharp motion in FMM and 60hz also gives an added 3D depth to the picture.

Higher light quality which gives less flat and more natural colors.
S95B CRI 47
QN90B CRI 62

Insert.
CRT CRI 90 (Reference)

The only time you want the S95B over the QN90B is if you are forced to watch content from an extreme angle in a dark room.
Thats the only area where the OLED is better.
The rest goes to the QN90B.
Best TV i have owned so far.

S95B is going up for sale now.

Hey man I’m confused why your comments say you recommend the qn90b for a bright room when that’s the tv showing the worst reflection? What am I missing?

I got both of them one for dark room second for bright room, both of them amazing tv ❤

So i have compared more HDR content in a pitch black room and what can i say.
There are no perfect tv.
Both of these tvs are amazing but both have strenghts and weaknesses.
The QN90B has still some problems with raised shadow details and light leak mostly seen in dark scenes.
The S95B has slight better precsion in the image while the image on the QN90N can look more rough.
Shadow details still goes to the S95B in most scenes.
Hairs tends to fall back to black on the QN90B while you have details on the S95B

if you could get the 1900 Nits without ABL and the motion handling from the QN90B to the S95B you will have the perfect tv.

Maybe in a few years.

Great job with these vids. I know they’re not easy to create. Do you plan on showing some SDR footage of these two?

But you don’t mention the awful rainbow effect the QN90B produces in a room with any ambient light

How are the black levels compared? I guess what i do like about oleds is the not washed out look in dark scenes.

Those reflections on QN95 are really distracting though.
Kind of add to the brightness😸😂

So it sounds like you are overall happy with the Samsung AN90B? I have a flagship Panasonic plasma and am thinking of buying the mini-led Samsung to replace it. I initially tried a Sony a80j about a year ago but it was so dim, it couldn't play HDR correctly and my plasma looked better. I returned it and now I don't have confidence in OLED. I have never even considered a LCD as an option before but this particular model seems like it might actually be a suitable replacement for my plasma. I want HDR to look correct if I am going to start watching it. Can you give me your overall impression about how this Samsung compares to a great plasma like your Kuro?

How is the off axis viewing? The off axis viewing is primarily why I went oled.

What dimming setting do you use for the QN90B? standard seems to fair better with blooming than high does on my TV which confuses me a little lol

It's crazy how close mini led gets to oled in real content. Except for gaming qn90b is a match

S95b blacks are a lot more raised with ambient sunlight.

I don’t know what some of you guys are talking about… but the S95B clearly looks waaay better in a light room than this QN90B.. the QN90B has more glare than the OLED. I thought the S95B would be an issue in a bright room but it looks much better than the QN90B with all that glare.

the reflections on the QN90B are so distracting though, i'm surprised how poor those are compared to the S95B

Which version of the qn90b is this? The 55 inch? I want to go with the 43 inch version and use it as a monitor but it has less local dimming zones and no wide viewing angle. I'm debating between 43qn90b and lg c2 but brightness on c2 is awful, my current monitor is brighter than c2

This test is completely busted. There’s too much reflection and light hitting the QN90b which kinda ruins the test, would’ve been better to do it and night or completely dark

How’s the performance in a dark room with the QN90B?
