My 90 year old grandmother was on her death bed, and on her last breath she asked me to lean in and she whispered in my ear "maxwell: how to waste your teenage years" & as soon as I played it she inhaled a deep breath, took off her breathing tubes and poured a 2 of tris & was back and better than before! All thanks to you! You saved my grandma!

as a 21 year old, this sounds about right. it took wasting my high-school years playing videogames all day for me to realize that i was just doing it to kill time instead of pursuing my true passion and making connections. and by then, it was already over. it sucks but im glad im at a point where i can learn from my mistakes.

I’m blessed to have parents who parent me safe guarding me from junk food. From wasting away in front of a laptop. To see this video less than a month from the start of my teenage years. God bless anyone who reads this and keep your self healthy and well.

I'm 16 and man this actually hurt to watch. I feel like I'm waste my life everyday, and this proved me right. I just hope I can break out of the cycle this time instead of falling back into escapism like I do most of the time

As a current 14 year old. I am glad you raised these points. Every since the summer of 2023 I've started working on all these things and so far its going pretty well.

When I was 16 I had an incident that almost ended my life and I was made to face my mortality for the first time. The upside of this at that age was that I was able to see I was still YOUNG, and that there was still time to enjoy my teenage years. If you’re 16 and think you’ve wasted your teenage years, START ENJOYING THEM. I started taking music lessons and used the rest of my teen years to play music and have fun and make new connections with friends. Now after my event I am 21 now in a band that is well known in my local music scene and I could not be happier.

As a 18 yo, I'd like to share some things I learned so far: (I edit this after every learning) ❤️

1. The happiness of stuggle and sweat is more pleasurable than happiness you get from materialistic things.

2. If people leave your life, let them. Don't be in sorrow, let them do what they want to.

3. When you have no friends, you start to notice more about yourself, what you like, what you love to do, what are your believes. Instead with friends, sometimes we have to shut ourself when we think our beliefs will create arguments.

4. Don't be ashamed to go out, eat, and travel alone.

5. Don't worry about what people are thinking about you. Because people are already worried, what you think about them.

6. Learn communication skills, basic knowledge, interaction skills, as soon as possible. Trust me I should've done those.

7. Interaction doesn't mean being talkative, when you think something is in your need, speak.

8. Concealing plans, goals, and intention are really important to avoid enemies. Don't think telling someone your plans and doings, will make you an honest person. It won't. People will know your plans and crush you with the plans bigger than yours.

9. Having a big circle doesn't mean you are the most famous and safe person. Anyone could use you as a scapegoat to blame their deeds on yours. Everyone will believe the other person thinking friends never lie.

10. Don't say yes, just because you don't want to make the other person feel bad. Respect your feelings. This "yes" might give you a life time trauma. Trust me .

11.If your friends talk about, which girl they texted, going out for parties, gossips, and other unnecessary stuff. Leave them and find someone who could lift you.

12. People lie to you, you don't realise until you fall behind. Let me tell you my scenario. We had a test and everyone said they didn't study anything. And i believed that I'm not alone and we will support each other. But when results came out. Only one person failed in the entire class, and that was me.

13. Friends want your better, but they never want you to get better than them. No matter how real he/she is, envy is in the pyschology of human.

14. There are only two people who will be happy to see you above their level. And they are your parents and teachers. Respect them.

15. Using curse words doesn't make you seem cool.

16. Taking care of health, gut, body is really important. Go to gym

17. Learn about money, banks, cash at an early age.

18. It is okay to be alone, enjoy your own company.

19. Track you life : track everything, sorrow, happiness, Good and bad happenings, how you reacted to a situation. And at the end of the page, write what you believe should've been done to avoid bad things. And the next day, only read the end part to see, what promises you made to yourself. And that's the actual work of diary.

20. Their is only one person who is with you from your birth to death. And that's YOU.

21. It's okay to have playful, extroverted, energetic, or introverted personality. The actual respect you get is from the excellence of your work. People see how serious you are towards your work, not in your personal life.

22. There may be times when people pretend to help you, but they actually want to get their work done.

23. Don't underestimate time. Here is my theory : Your protector and you are being chased by a dinosaur. Your protector doesn't care about you, if you fall behind, it can continue running without you. If you're ahead of your protector, you're safe. If you're with your protector, you're safe. But if you're behind him, he can't do anything. Now is the point. The protector is "time" and the dinosaur is "regret".

24. Early relationships only last if you respect yourself, manage your time, your feelings, your pain and your life. If you can't manage your own life, and it's being messed up. I'm sorry to tell but you are only taking a burden of your partner and pushing him/her to your level instead of growing together. There is nothing like"I can fix her/him", who's gonna fix you is only YOU. If you make a change in your life, it's your credit not theirs. They were just your guidance.

25. When someone commits, he/she will protect you. Ask them to do it both physically and mentally.

26. Moving on was never getting into a new relationship.

27. Meditation helps you to find yourself. If you feel lost, close your eyes and start focusing on your breath. It will lead you to your true self.

28. If you die tomorrow, list done the things you will regret of not doing. When done. Congratulations, those are your goals!

29. To know someone or something, human has to spend some time on it. So why not spend some time with yourself, to find your lost self.

30. It was never about BE YOURSELF. It was about BETTER YOURSELF.

31. People say, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. But actually, PRACTICE MAKES IMPROVEMENT. Because no one is perfect in this world.

32. It was never okay to be weak. Be strong, both physically and mentally.

33. Being with people teaches you the REAL side of this world.

34. It is okay to learn about other religions, cultures and believes. But learn about your own first.

35. You don't need a celebrity, a famous personality, or anyone to be your ideal. You know why are we inspired or attracted to someone? Because few believes match. When you see yourself in someone, you don't see everything in them, you're only inspired to a particular idea of them, not every quality. Suppose you want to be fit like person1, smart like person2, study like person3, be rich like person4, and this list will go upto infinity, if you want to cover each quality. Will you be able to list down every person? No. How many ideals will you appoint for yourself? However, there is one ideal for you, and that's YOUR FUTURE SELF. The only one who fits in everything you want in him/her. What you like, he/she likes too. What you want, he/she wants to. Be your own inspiration and push yourself.

36. Become your own parent, and guide yourself in every aspect of life. Whatever you do, think about your PARENT and question "Will she/he be satisfied if I do this?". You can't escape from being a parent, you are already a parent of your yesterday's self, so why can't be for the rest of your life.

37. Even if you cry, sweat or sick, keep going.

38. Don't expect twice from a person, who once hurted you in that thing. You are finding happiness in hell, again.

39. You don't have to wait for the new year to start something. A commitment can be made any second.

40. It's better to accept a person's behaviour, rather ignoring it. You have to get, that they are made that way.

41. You can never make everyone happy.

42. Never hesitate to tell what you like, even if others don't like it .

43. A controlled mind, is a controlled life.
-by me

44. You will differentiate between REAL & FAKE people, when you know "why and when they come to talk to you" .

45. Body was never alive, but soul.

46. The real pandemic was never a deadly disease, but "Your Lazy mind".

47. Always choose the real dopamine upon the fake ones.

48. Enjoying your life was never wrong, until you perform your responsibility and duty.

49. Why do people say, be with the smart people? Because when are with them, you start normalising their genius ways to you.

As a 17 year old who watched this, I'm glad I stepped up and started living life to the fullest. What I've learned so far: Go out and be a kid. Don't spend all of your time inside on a screen, get out there with your friends, do fun, dumb, and risky things here and there. You'll never be as young as you are today, so make some good stories and have good experiences with the people you trust and enjoy company with most.

lets go bro, this is what kids need to see. Live life like its 1970 - read books, go to gatherings, BE OK WITH BEING UNCOMFORTABLE. It’s a skill and then becomes natural. It takes repetitions

Holy shit this video actually hit me very hard. I am currently 16 years old and I sometimes I feel like I am wasting my time. I exercise, and I like to code as a hobby, but they are the only two things I am proud of. Sometimes I just want to stop everything, start over, leave all my friends even if I love them, and just live my life. I am good at school, but wasting my potential by not working, and just going through the lessons. I feel miserable sometimes, I am not even courageous enough to go talk to a girl, even when there was this boy I liked and I knew he is gay, I just couldn't approach him. i know nobody will read this, but damn

Im close to 17, and my life this last 2-3 years has probably been the same.
During lockdown, me and my friends played games all day, but when everything was going back to normal I stayed the same, so everyone, all my friends started adapting to going to school again and stuff, but I didnt.
In 2022, my life was: Waking up, go to school, come back home, sleep play games and sleep at 2 am minimum. I started being emotionally unstable, started distancing from everyone and socially, I could say that I had 1 real friend, and the others were the ones that played with me
during lockdown. I went through a depression and somehow got out of it. I just didnt want to do nothing and skip time till nothing happens.
2023 was better, but there were times when I felt lost too, but socially was way better, I made friends again and felt better. But one important thing this year was that I finally wanted to change, and got my gym membership in september. Since then, not much happened.
In 2024, since Im on vacations, I have WAY too much free time and know I am feeling that Im wasting it all, just sitting in the computer all day, doing nothing.
This video its like too obvious, but makes me feel stupid that I do or did most of them.
Ill try too come back to this video in 1-2 months later and see if I actually improved or no.

1st month: Id say I got more like a "mentality change", because now im realizing what things do I do that I should stop doing, that I do frequently.

6th month (i think): Ive been doing better but its sometimes hard to keep the habits, but i now i play almost no videogames, so i think thats an improvement.

(Idc if someone reads this or not, this is for me)

I’m 18 it’s too late for me, my teenage years were spent in my home. During quarantine all the memories I had were muffled because I did the same thing every single day and it was mindlessly watching anime and chatting on discord. Sure it stopped me from going insane but I didn’t do anything of value. I feel embarrassed that I can’t tell my future kids(if I get lucky) any stories because I don’t have any. When I came back to school, I didn’t do anything crazy. I didn’t go to parties, I didn’t have a girlfriend, I talked to same few people everyday and kept to myself. I didn’t get a job nor my license, I’m just so damn behind of everyone when it comes to life experience. In the twilight of my teen years, I’m just gonna do what I was supposed yo have done earlier is get my license, get a job, hit the GYM and just put myself out there.

I am now 14 and I am so glad that my life does not look like this, I used to struggle with addiction to social media and the endless scrolling was all that filled my time. I am now going to the gym, have straight As, follow my passion in programming and literature, all while having healthy mind that focuses on the future. Thank you for your time on making this video, it is never too late. You can do this

My god, I know this comment is just going to get buried under tons of others but this video just hit me hard. Ever since the pandemic ended, I always felt like I was sort of only half living my life, and I couldn’t really put into words what felt off about me. By the end of the video I felt that 5 of the 7 points were stuff that I was just doing or thinking almost naturally. To think I just stumbled on this video and it almost perfectly described what I was going through…
To anyone reading this… it’s never too late to change, find your passions, do what makes you happy, escape the cycle of consumption that we have been put in!
