Sonos Sub Mini Review | Mighty bass, mini package!

Reviewing the Sonos Sub Mini, a more compact subwoofer vs the Sub Gen 3, ideal for smaller homes. In the UK, the Sub Mini will cost you £429 - not cheap by any stretch, but if you already have a Sonos sound system, this is a worthy addition for any bass fans and movie lovers. This unboxing shows you what you get, plus a run-through of the simple setup followed by my review after a few days of testing.

While this subwoofer isn't quite as small as the name suggests, it is more dinky than the original model. This cylindrical beast has to be stood upright and measures in at around 12-inches, so make sure you have space.

The Sonos Sub Mini is compatible with a range of existing speakers including the Ray, Beam, One, One SL, SYMFONISK speakers and Amp, connecting over 5GHz. Setup is incredibly quick and easy, and the results once you add this subwoofer are incredible.

I noticed an immediate, significant boost to those lows as soon as the Sonos Sub Mini was introduced. Bass is thick and gets you right in the fleshy bits. You even have Trueplay support if you have an iPhone, to get that audio tailored to your room.

Just got the sub mini and paired with my beam gen 2 and 2 SL Ones's. My room is 12.6 by 20.6 ft. Trying to explain the quality of sound is a little difficult. The bass doesn't take over it just becomes immersive and blends seamlessly with the rest of the speakers to give a sound quality that is truly remarkable. If you want a bass that's going to shake and rattle the walls this is not what you need, get the sub gen 3. But if it's quality sound for movies and music that is just right this is the speaker for you. Many said adding the sub mini makes the beam gen 2 sound even better as it is not trying to put out bass and just worries with the mid-range and highs and they are spot on. This is one of the best purchases I have made to complete the sound with my sonos system.

Ngl I've used a sonos speaker before, and the quality is absolutely crazy.
Definitely recommend to buy one if you really wanna experience sound, differently.

Great review, the reason true play didn’t really work for you is because you have sound dampening on the walls. True play relies on the sound bouncing off the wall back to the phone to map the room acoustics

I’ve been waiting for this to pair with my beam gen2 and one SL’s for my bedroom theater system. Regular sub is too much for that space and too expensive. This mini will be mine though. Great video by the way. I subscribed!
