Functional Analysis is the basis for understanding Sturm–Liouville Theory, Banach Spaces, and Hilbert Spaces, in particular, and a ton of other stuff.
I first came across Hilbert Spaces in the context of Quantum Mechanics.

As the Math Sorcerer takes whiffs of his math books, I smell an opportunity for another Dover reprint--for THIS BOOK. Who's with me on this??

I just pulled the trigger on a used copy for $25 + S&H. I'm glad I stumbled across your video, Math Sorcerer!

Taylor is a great author. I have a copy of Advanced Calculus also written by him

One of my favorite subjects ever. Some of the theorems and their proofs are euphoric. Thank you dear sorceror for bringing this up. I hated it when the semester and the course ended. This was back in the days as part of my masters in computer science. I thank those who had the wisdom to include this alongside programming and other stuff.

Please keep doing “ Math Book Review Video ”, Sir.
You are making those “ Classic Math Books ” shines and visible ( sometimes understandable ) to the general public ( with or without formal backgrounds of Maths ).

Very very good video as always but this speaks to me directly as I started studying the subject as part of my PhD. I will take a functional analysis course starting in September 2025 but I want to prepare myself in due time. Definitely having a look at this book.

Functional analysis, unit analysis, real analysis, complex analysis, whats the point? Like what is "analysis" ?

Is there books on unit analysis?

What is point set topilogy?

Max Zorn sounds like a Bond villain for some reason.

Wait what? You know stories about Zorn and you're not going to tell us!? That's blasphemy. You have to make a video on that!

I previously watched your video " is it possible to learn more math than ur teacher" According to my opinion . Its not possible because a teacher has gone through multiple practice and read books . Also have much more experience . So its not possible
