I would ad the complete insanity that is the border situation in Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau. Some of the borders run trough houses, there are islands of country within The Netherlands that belong to Belgium and the other way around. Its complete madness.

“Africa is closer to Canada than the United States.” This is ambiguously worded. You mean, “Africa is closer to Canada than it is to the United States, ” and not “Africa is closer to Canada than the United States is.”

Another interesting one is that Spain and Morocco actually share the shortest international land border due to a small island off Morocco's coast that is a Spanish territory, called Penon de Velez de la Gomera. The island has become connected to Morocco due to a storm a bit less than a hundred years ago that washed enough sediment between the landforms to connect them. The border is a total of 85 meters or about 279 feet.

Toronto is as far south as Spain’s northern coast. Montreal is farther south than Trieste, Italy. These seem impossible, but both are True.
