Outlander Creator REVEALS A Prequel Series Is COMING!

Welcome back to Scene Focus, today on the channel we are going to talk about the Outlander creator revealing a prequel series is in the works. Here's what we know. Outlander fans will be delighted to hear that the brains behind the popular show have an exciting new project in the works. Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander novels which have been adapted into the hugely successful StarzPlay series, has revealed that she has begun writing a prequel series about her much-loved hero Jamie Fraser's parents.

Taking to Facebook this week, Diana shared with her fans the potential opening line of the book, which she has been working on over the last few years, alongside the tenth installment in the Outlander series. Alongside a photo of some red ivy trailing down a terracotta wall, she wrote: "And it is only a line - but I think it's possibly the first line of the book: "'Ellen MacKenzie, eldest of the children of Jacob Ruadh MacKenzie, chief of Clan MacKenzie—well, the late chief, if only by moments, but she'd think about that later—grabbed Ailidh Watt from behind and dragged her out of sight, clapping a hand over her slobbering mouth to stifle her cries.'" She added that while she has "barely begun" working on the new novel, she has "more written" but will not be posting more for some time. In other news, Outlander star John Bell wants to return to Doctor Who in this role. Outlander star John Bell has divulged which Doctor Who character he would portray if given the opportunity. Bell, 24, who made his debut in the long-running BBC series at age nine, has other acting credits including two of The Hobbit movies and T2: Trainspotting. I am not interested in a sequel about Jamie Fraser’s parents. Now a sequel about Master Raymond and the Comte St.Germaine (are they Claire Beauchamp’s ancestors and which family side?) and most importantly, “Who is and What Did Frank Randall Know” are my biggest questions of interest. These books I will buy and the shows I would watch.

Im so excited about it we will meet many people we know and love. The MacKenzie parents, A young Murtagh, Ned Howan, the Old Fox, etc etc and maybe some of our other old faves as children. And mostly that it takes the story back to Scotland, maybe early 18th century?
