Thank you for this video tutorial, it helped greatly! I️ had trouble getting Raspian to boot, but it turned out my issue was with using an xd card larger than 32gb. SD Formatter automatically formats the card to ex-FAT for any card over 32gb so I️ had to use a different tool to format my card as FAT32. Everything worked fine once that was done. This might be common knowledge, but I’m a bit new to the Pi and it took me a bit of troubleshooting to figure it out. Hope this helps anyone who may have run into the same issue!

after the image file is written to the sd card, do you get a popup of formatting usb drive <drive letter> ? And also do we get two disk partition created with one named as boot which has 64mb size and other with usb drive <drive letter> with 7GB( if we take 16gb sd card)??

Thanks for the tutorial; for writing the image however I would suggest the software Etcher, because it runs on Win, Linux and Mac OS. Otherwise it's always difficult watching such videos when one doesn't have a Windows PC. The more cross- platform software is used, the better!

Thanks. Awesome video. My Pi3 was running just fine. But if you set it up once and never do it again, then you don't learn anything. So I thought I'd do it over and over till I can do it without directions. May seem stupid to others but this is how I learn. If I don't learn something every day, then I feel I'm cutting myself short.

I primarily want to control my Pi through VNC, i dont have a monitor to do the initial config on.
Is it possible to use VNC to do all that you just did?

You skipped the part I need most booting stretch. It prompt me for sure and pass them locale and when I put em-is it accepts and then sets to GB every time LOL it’s nutsand im trying to get to GUI but no luck het

I'm getting an -E: Malformed line 1 in source list

locating the directory it shows "raspi.list (type)"
But nothing is there when opened... At the moment I can't seem to update or configure

I am not able to install the os on my sd card... after installing raspbian stretch on my computer i am not able to get the zip folder to extract the files....what should i do?

i has try install rasbian to raspberry pi 3 many hundre time now, many different SD card, many different distro and kernel version, my pc, win7, SD formatter, win32diskimager or etcher. no working kernel panic error alltime or not start run, vfd unformatted 179, 2 somethink eror alltime same error have SD card or distro or kernel different. how hell this need install whit out errors? i has read internet this kernel panic helps and not help if change some text to cmdline.txt file. i believe ALLlinux have test version and not working real life newer, have noobs, rasbian, etc other distros or kernel versions. shit why not can install normal at linux newer.
