For re-mounting a tire, soapy water is your friend. Get it on the rim and on the tire's base, that way you're not also fighting the friction of the rubber grabbing the wheel

You missed a VERY important part with the headset maintenance. You can absolutely overtighten the star nut bolt, and not every company offers a torque rating for it, so you need to make sure to lift the front wheel and make sure it can freely turn side-to-side without and friction.
Do NOT just crank the bolt so that there's no more play.

For weeks, I've had clicking noise on my cockpit whenever I ride over something really bumpy, and I thought that it was due to loose bolts. As it turns out, it was just the brake cables tapping against another. 😑

There’s lots of good techniques and methods available for bike maintenance. Anna has touched on the most common issues in this video. IMO I would link this video to anyone beginning bike maintenance or repairs. There’s many other issues that can’t be touched on in a 10min video, but this is a good start.

I like to clean the new chain before mounting on the bike, that thick original "grease" is meant for storage, not for riding, and removing that after use is very hard without a good degreaser, and it will mess every single part of your drive train...

Great video anna. I am terrible with maintenance and don't even take tools out with me when i ride and I'm always alone.🤦

Anna butchered this video! Should’ve got Doddy to do it. THERE IS NO TORQUE SETTING for the top cap stem bolt. You must only tighten it until there is no more play in the headset, this applies to all different brands and all metals, otherwise you WILL certainly snap the top cap. But the stem bolts do need to be torqued correctly 4.5-9NM. Peace out homeys.
