If it doesn’t say grass fed grass finished, the cow was likely transitioned to grain near the end of its life anyway. These are mostly just marketing tricks.

beef that are finished on grain ate good grass and hay for 85-90% of their lives. still a great choice. also cheaper.

I'm not losing sleep over whether I eat 100% grassfed from a nutrient standpoint, but I do worry a lot about toxins in my food. Grain fed beef are often raised in feedlots (bare dirt fenced in) on grains that were grown with cancer causing pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate which is ubiquitous in the grain fields of America (It is banned in Europe!). I afford grass fed beef and butter because I've given up all the fast food and junk food from the past :) I love my vegetables but in a way the carnivore diet is the cheapest because it is satiating so I eat less volume of different foods :)

Gotta do grain fed for now, but hoping eventually to do grass fed direct from the farm.

funny thing is all cattle are grass fed most of their lives and then finished off with grain at the end to fatten them up more. So unless it grass finished doesn't matter

Grain fed usually uses GMO corn. Corn is pummeled in pesticides and neoinsecticides too. There is a difference. And grass fed to finish has more vitamins and minerals.

I love grass fed beef, but I can’t afford to eat exclusively grass fed beef. I have a family to feed. So I do a mix. My ribeyes are grain fed and my ground beef is grass fed. 🤷🏻‍♀️
