Thank you sir, In case the string breaks will particle A still move upwards because on p2 2020 aqa it assumed it still moved upwards in the markscheme, but usually if it's not a pulley and only a string and it breaks particle A would move downwards

If it was a rough slope, how would you figure out which way the particles move?

If the particle A on a smooth surface, then why there will be 'R' acting on it?

If particle B hits the floor willl particle A keep moving towards the pulley?

if this was a rough surface, would there be friction in the same place where the tension is?
