I have one of those, I love it. My partner likes the short handled version though.

I have a regular spade that I had used to pry up large stones after my lawn was landscaped. In the process, over many large stones being removed, I cracked the end of my spade. I put it in a vise and pried close to 1/2 of the spade metal off the handle. The remaining sharp thinner wedge of metal has turned out to be excellent for removing dandelions. It pushes in easily- and deeply under the tap root. With one or two priest down I will often hear a very satisfying "pop" where the root is severed quite far down. Then I can pick up the plant, often with a 5-6" or longer root hanging. Also after a rain can be a very good time for pulling other weeds with roots that spread out and grip better in the dry.

That is good if someone has a Big lawn or garden, ive tried those tools before and it does remove the whole plant above ground but it tends to break most of the tap root under ground which I could see in this video that most of the tap root was broken off, if just a centimeter of dandelion tap root is left behind it will grow back.

That’s a great tool man we have one similar similar it just has little arrow at the top it doesn’t really have like a little springy thing but it works pretty good too

I have one of these and the dandelions I have must be much more established because the roots are extremely long and they spread sideways and straight down. I'm curious, if you would dig a little bit and see if you actually got the entire root system? Otherwise, they just keep coming back. Wish me luck 😂😂

The root's still in the ground, it's not only 1-2cm long
