"You can deny, it's up to you" - Wrong. If you deny a single permission those apps won't accept to go any further. Plus, did you just read the permissions you granted ? You basically gave them the entire control over your phone, the app can read anything it wants on the screen, go anywhere it wants on your phone and send all the collected data trough a remote server, they can even modify any apps your running (like updating the content that is displayed on your screen anywhere, anytime).
Thanks for this video but I think you should clearly state what is at stake here and what is the real cost of using such an app. The price to pay is too high imho, you're better to stick with a plain old mini cassette recorder you start close to your phone every time you want to record instead of opening your entire world (and your bank account for that matter) to an app you have no clue what they do with the info you re giving them. (They also do digital recorder now it seems)

In Sweden is totally legal to record calls. They even incourage it, if you've an dispute with in a company that said you never said that. You dont even need to say it if you're recorded. Some court cases accepts record calls.

I installed the same app you show in the video and jumped through all the hoopes and at the very end they showed a subscription option before the app could be used. Either you are not showing that or it's something they just started doing. I instantly uninstalled it.

Stupid review! It is not works at all on Android >=9. Did U check it yourself. you can record only yourself, but NOT the another side. The reason is well known.

Lots of these videos are demonstrating with older phones running Android 8 or older.

However if you are on Android 9 or 10 recording the remote side is permanently disabled and you can forget downgrading as that is disabled as well (secure bootloader)

I should be able to record both side of my conversations. I live in Ohio. Which is a one party consent state. That means as long as I'm one of the parties on the conversation, and I consent to me recording it then I'm not even legally obligated to inform them that I'm recording. I should be allowed to use these apps the way I have been for years. The fact that I don't even have the ability to do so is infringing on my rights.

A two party consent state (only a handful of States have this) means both parties must be aware that the conversation is being recorded and both parties must consent. Again, check your local laws.

Restrictions on iPhones have nothing to do with the law, but rather, not opening up a port which will compromise phone security. This video could have done a demonstration on recording a real phone call.

I could see it as utilitarian, like having notes to refer to when trying to remember a detail.
More importantly i would like to have it to protect myself froom bad employer's, telling you one thing only to deny it later.

I wish there was an app that you don't have to ALLOW ACCESS TO YOUR ENTIRE PHONE. Anyone else have a problem with that? I want to record phone calls, why does the phone need totally and full control of my phone???
