If you recently changed your email password on another device beside your iPhone, you need to update your iPhone settings with the updated password so you can still get mail on your iPhone. There is no password field on my iPhone when going into the options.

For me, iPhone 13, iOS 18.0.1: From Settings I have to scroll all the way down to bottom where I find Apps. Touch Apps and then choose Mail. Just an extra step.

This was useful because of one statement: delete and re-add your account. It sucks that this is what you have to do.

Here's the new way as of January 2025: Still go to Settings > Scroll down to "Apps" > Tap the "Mail" app > Tap "Mail Accounts" > tap the email account you need to update > you should be prompted at the top to update password and go from there.

This did not work on my new iPhone 16. I couldn’t type in the password. The keypad would not appear. I eventually turned off the phone and the keypad reappeared
when I turned it back on. Hope this works for someone.

After 20 minutes of fruitlessness, I followed 1/2 of these steps, then clicked "Delete Account", and re-added it. Done
