Surprise Kids' Bedroom Makeover| DIY TRIPLE BUNK BED| *FUN SURPRISE REVEAL*

While I was at my brothers house I not only tackle the kitchen with him. I also did a special makeover for some of my favorite people, my niece and nephews. The 3 kids share a room so this was a challenging makeover to make this room as functional as it possible could be. and also make this a fun kids room that they will hopefully think is cool in a few year when they are older. I also needed to make this a pretty quick little makeover so that I could actually get it done in time while working on the kitchen.

I start off painting just a little part of the room black. This added a little bit of dimension, aged the space a bit and also gave the room a cooler city vibe that I was going for. After that quick project I got to work painting three small dressers that I got from ikea. Each kid was going to get their own dresser so that this would add storage and give them there own little space in the room to display whatever they wanted.

Then came the biggest project of the makeover. My brother and I built a triple bunk bed for the room. And this was the biggest game changer of the whole makeover. This freed up so much space in the room so that my niece and nephews can actually play in here now. The bunk bed we had designed out was a triple bunk bed where the beds zigzag across the wall giving the kids on the bottom and middle bunk more space above their head. This was such a cool project and is such an eye capture feature of the room now.

Then I finished up the room with some fun little project like making a Pennant to incorprate into a gallery wall. Adding an area where the kids can display their own art work. Then making a letter pillow for each kids bunk.

It was insane amount of work juggling all these projects but I'm so glad I did once I saw how happy they were with their room. I hope you like this video and thanks for watching!!!

When I was growing up, i shared a room with 5 other siblings and it was smaller than that room. It was a bunk bed with a pull out bed from underneath, a smaller mattress on the floor to the side and a crib. This room looks amazing!!!! I wish we had something like this!

The triple bunk bed looks amazing! Time, Patience and thought got put into it. It looks so sturdy I've read a few comments criticizing the bed but honestly I think it's so much better than something you can go out and buy premade ( things aren't made like they used to)

We had five boys.Three of them were in a room about that size.We managed for awhile when my husband made homemade beds with crib mattresses. When they grew out of those, we had to do the bedroom shuffle, changing rooms with the teens, then eventually took the ten by ten bedroom, giving the younger three our master bedroom. Now the house is quiet, and the boys are all grown. It is so cool to see you make a creative solution for this family.Most of the time, people are just frustrated and stuck with cramped rooms, and whiny children, trying to make a small room work.I love your creative ideas!

I don’t know how this ended on my watch list but this room is fabulous. The hand cut letters are so much more personal and fun than a ‘proper’ cut. I love it all.

People keep asking me why there is only one kid in the 3rd bedroom. The 3rd bedroom is my brothers house is very very small, about half the size of this room. So there's not enough space for two kids to share that room. The 3rd boy is currently a baby so they have him in that room because of his different sleep schedule until he is older. This is is absolutely amazing. When you first mentioned staggered, though, I envisioned two on one wall and the middle on a perpendicular on the other wall. Like everyone’s feet “meeting” at the corner. That may have given them even more room.
