My daughter Edie moved into her new bedroom a few days ago and today we are going to start the transformation of her new bedroom, starting with wallpaper...
And she is pretty excited about it.
Ever, since my daughter Edie came out to me and transitioned to a girl, she has been on a journey of reinvention, trying to shape the world around her to fit her true self.
And while she has been working on her inner self and discovering who she is, while also making up for lost time, As her dad I've taken it on as my job to help her transform the world around her, and today that’s creating a space for her, that she feels a lines with who she is today.
Everyone deserves to have a safe space they can call their own, a place that fits their own vision of themselves. And I know that my expectation for her life when she was born was nothing like the experience that has materialised but that’s parenting. so to be the kind of parent Edie needs, I had to evolve and I hope I am doing a good job.
