What Makes a Function Continuous and What Does it Look Like? | Jake's Math Lessons
The idea of continuity and what makes a function continuous is something that comes up a lot throughout calculus. It is built on for other ideas, like what makes a function differentiable for example. So it is pretty important and I recently talked about continuity what it means by definition and also what it looks like on a graph in one my one of my weekly live streams, which I am doing every Monday night at 5 PT/ 8 ET.
I thought you might find this portion of live stream pretty helpful. So I wanted to show you that today. This is actually one of the topics I also covered in my complete calculus one package.
If you want to check that out you can go ahead and check the link in the description below.
The problem which will be discussed in today's video is:
A function f is continuous at a number a if
lim f(x) = f (a)
x--- a
