Bashers can be brutal on their RC machines and many of those drivers turn to Traxxas because their machines can take a beating. But everything has its limits and some hard hits can potentially move the motor in some Traxxas vehicles and that can lead to improper gear mesh between the pinion and spur. And as you may have guessed, improper gear mesh can lead to the destruction of the spur gear. We’ve seen it many times. Then when the spur gear is replaced, the gearmesh is often set wrong which could lead to a stripped spur gear again. Evidently they're coming with the car now. At least the 2WD Slash. I ordered a set and when I opened it up to removed the motor I saw what looked like the same spacer I was supposed to use. Sure enough I popped it out and was the "C" spacer for the standard gearing.

Nice idea Traxxas had with this kit. Unfortunately, they won’t do me any good since my 2wd vehicles now have the RPM Hybrid Gearbox instead of the stock transmission case.

it looks like it would prevent the mesh from moving aswell even if the screws get looser or the transmission flexs, because the way it fills in the entire adjustment hole

I have a 2wd slash with a hobbywing max10 combo ordered these because the gears don't line up at all, the shaft is to long and the flat part stops to far up. Hopefully this is the fix

That's a great idea for the newbies! To your far right or my far left, could you link a description into the work you did on that tan camo truck sitting on the counter behind you. I took mine off because I got a Integy aluminum alloy gear housing and with that part it would not align the pinion gear even. So im wondering if this part is going to make the same problem by not having that part set in the housing. LoL let me know. ??

Have you done a traxxas slipper clutch video? I have a 2wd stampede with a 12t titan. No matter what I do I keep breaking half shaft parts. Weather I tighten it and back off 1/4 1/2 or a hole turn. Please help

Will this work with castle motors? Silly question but it looks like it would. I just hate lining up the lower screw when I remove the motor.

They have them for the 4x4 as well but they don't set the mesh right even with the stock gearing i found there was to much play in it, still stripped out spur gears not worth the money.
