Hartung Family Farms is a farming operation out of Jackson and Clinton County Iowa, with our main farm located in Preston Iowa. We have around 2400 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, rye, and oats as well as around 750 head of cattle. We have a wide range of International equipment from small tractors from the 1970s to newer large farm tractors!

I have had a 2290 for nearly 35 years. 1982 model. A simple easy to run horse. 135 horsepower (2390-150) The 504 engine is easy on fuel, smooth & fairly quiet. The cab isn't as roomy as newer models, but is pretty darn comfy. It has been my planting tractor for many years. Spread duals, a Trimble 500 with T2 auto steer, & with 4, 800 actual hours, it'll probably be here for awhile longer. (btw, fuel shutoff is behind the throttle. Push down, it'd start right up.)

Years back I worked for an excavation contractor and we hauled sand fill out of his family's dairy farm and had a couple of J.I. Case tractors similar to what you hoped in but the two big horses they had were a pair of nicely restored J.I. Case 2870 300ish hp 4wd articulated tractors, the used one with a blade on the silage bunk and the other usually was on standby to dug the 5288, 3 row chopper, and dump cart around doing corn silage

I love seeing the auction stuff. So fun the keys in those old Case tractors will start most everything on your farm!

Dad had a 2290. Reverse, 1, 2, &3 on the power shift. One in gear the two gear shifters are not to close together.

Those 90 series where the grand dad to the box car magnum's. Haven't ran 1 myself but done alot of hours on 970 to 1370s baling and wrapping. The 1370 motor let go with over 10k hours on and got one from state's yet when opened crate it was a Cummins 8.3 same as magnum so made it work and 1st dnyo run was over 350hp so to keep backend and 4800 heeston baler together was dialled in at 280hp. By the way we're based in south island, New Zealand

Bomgaars had new hay bale feeders for like $750 a piece. Not a bad deal for the two. That cattle trailer was sharp for its age.

Bet that tractor would have started right up if you pushed the shut off cable/button down on the panel right behind the power shift

The colors don't quite match Ron, but I like the shaded alien look. It's balmy 39 here in Oregon 4.8.23!🎉

Surprised you didn’t look at the bale hauler. It didn’t look to bad at a quick glance.
