My FIRST AUCTION EVER! What did I buy?

This is the first auction I’ve ever been to. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to understand what the fast talking people were saying and that I would bid a couple more zeros than I intended. But that was no problem as most of the lots at this auction didn’t even make the minimum bid amount.

Typical auction, "I know what I got, no low bids". Let the owners drag it around for 2 grand to sell it at 10k when they could have sold it for the 8500 and actually made money.

My Dad had a WD45 back in the 70’s. That was a great tractor that had a phenomenal variety of attachments. There wasn’t much concern for human safety back then though. Hope he gets her running.

Pour some used motor oil down the plug holes. Leave it alone for a month and she'll run. The starter is on the top of the bell housing. Held in with a single bolt with a jamb nut.

Owning a x320 and a 751 bobcat from the 90' all the hoses and cylinders will need work. That mini you wanted excavator will need all the hoses replaced soon after you would start using it. When you get into replacing hoses it doesn't take long to pay for the crimper and supplies to make your own hoses.

Quite a different auction than I'm used to. Mine won't do minimums, everything sells to the highest bid whether its $5 or $50k. Seen some absolute junk there go for more than new and some really nice stuff go for practically nothing.

Absolute BS to host an auction and put reserves on everything.. It's the auctioneer's own fault for poor turnout and bids, they have all the time in the world to advertise

I dont know much about sand blasting but couldnt you buy some of those rusty peices and blast them then resell? Almost as if new. Like the saw and bigfoot

Some of the actually sold stuff was going dirt cheap like a running driving registerable ( Canada ) 3500 one ton reg cab 2wd flat deck for $650 usd ? Absolutely crazy low

Gotta keep in mind scrap value is the minimum people will sell equipment for. That case loader is worth 3500 in scrap ì bet at least.

You should always put oil in the cylinder before you try starting any engine that has been setting up
