30 MINUTE - BELLY DANCERS WEIGHTS WORKOUT - WHOLE BODY STRENGTH

Using weights can increase your strength and endurance for belly dancing, quickly and more efficiently than practising a move for hours at a time. In this video, we will use weights to build needed muscles in our legs, arms and shoulders. This weights workout is perfect if:
- you struggle to hold your arms in position for a long period of time
- you can't keep your shimmies going for a full song
- you struggle with power moves such as Soheir Zaaki hip shifts, or stomach pops
- you want to be able to do a full performance without getting puffed out.

If you don't have weights you can use something light and easy to hold, such a can of food or full drink bottles.

Remember to always get your doctors okay before exercising, especially when lifting weights. Our muscles get stronger as we rest, so best results will be seen if you do this one three times a week with at least a full day's rest in between each session.

This workout will improve your belly dance moves quicker and more efficiently than practising them for hours on end (although that is good too for muscle memory and technique!) If you don't have weights, you can do the workout without. I promise you, you will still feel it!😄

Hi Coach Elisa ma'am! Is this also for men? I am a man and tried this along with my mother-in-law but it was very intense and brutal! I didn't use any weights at all but lasted only 11 minutes when my body completely failed and my MIL told me to rest. My MIL did the full lesson using 3 kg and even 5 kg weights!! Her arms, legs. shoulders, everything is just solid muscle like yours and pure strength! I feel really low and defeated :(
