If there's any lesson to learn from the takedown of H2M (and SM2 before it), it's the following:
*_Do NOT publish any information about any modding projects until AFTER you release the final product to the public._*
*No teasers. No screenshots. No trailers.* *_No loose ends for the suits to grab a hold of and strangle your project with._*
Keep it 100% under wraps until release. That way, players and archivers can at least download and back up essential files that can be salvaged.

Refund MWR-> Don’t buy any future Cod-> constantly dislike any public post or video from Activision/Cod-> Ask them all the time about the H2m mod and that they just have ego issues that their games are worse then a mod.

If everyone or the majority would do that we may have the chance they buy the mod or let it be released from the mod devs

Bought it specifically for the mod, but intentionally did not play it incase they C&D. Got my refund, screw you Activision.

You can absolutely get a refund if you have more than 2 hours. Just say in the refund request you purchased in anticipation of the H2M mod releasing and that it is no longer releasing and in turn unable to be played. Valve is very consumer oriented and will give you the refund

I have just requested a refund of BO6 from steam. Perhaps if all pre-orders were refunded Actiscum would take notice, but I doubt it.

Why tf is Microsoft not stepping in on this?! They own activation. This is a chance for Microsoft to step in & let the mod community create anything they want. Activision shouldn’t get the final say anymore.

Activision is scummy for doing this but the Devs of the MW2R mod are also dumb by announcing their project and getting everyone hyped up about it. On top of that they dont even release the mod regarless. Who cares about the cease and desist. Just release it and say screw you activision.

I knew it, I fking new, I was so close to buying MWR, but then I thought to myself “if they shut down every other mod, what makes this one immune, and I bet you they won’t even let it launch”, so I made the decision not to buy it, and thank god I didn’t.
