In this video we teach you how to replace a GFCI outlet. GFCI Outlets also known as ground fault circuit interrupters are used to protect you from shocks when appliances fail, or electronics are exposed to water or other condition which might cause them to short circuit.

How To Replace a GFCI Outlet:
1. Turn off the power to the outlet you are going to work on at the circuit breaker.
2. Confirm the power is cut off to the outlet by plugging something in that you know works or by using a non contact voltage meter.
3. With the power off remove the GFCI outlet cover.
4. Remove the 2 screws holding the GFCI outlet into electrical junction box.
5. Remove the GFCI outlet from the junction box so you can better access the wiring. Take a picture before you remove the wiring to assist in re-installing the outlet.
6. Remove the existing wiring from the terminals on the GFCI.
7. Secure the existing wiring to the new GFCI outlet. Wrap the outlet in electrical tape.
8. Install the GFCI into the junction box and secure with screws.
9.Secure the cover plate to the GFCI outlet.
10. Restore the power to the outlet and test the GFCI functionality.

Since you have so much room I would drill and tap a 10-32 in the back of the box between the knockouts and mount a bonding jumper from the box to the ground screw on the GFCI.
