You have to admit Bolg’s champions look so terrifying when you see them in the movie when he calls them to the front lines

Kinda strange, that Gundabad orcs actually looks more organized and better equipped than Sauron's forces in lotr.

One of the more iconic orc march scenes in the lord of the rings and the hobbit to be sure. I had chills up and down my spine when the horn sounded the first time.

Let's say it's summer to justify it, but I like this Angmar scenario anyway.
The Gundabad and Barad-Dûr designs are my favorite fortresses.
The rust detail on this one looks phenomenal.

Its quite dissappointing there’s no payoff on story of Legolas’s mother, we just get bits and pieces of info with no actual context to the storyline…also its just doest make sense that tauriel, being an elves, assuming she’s at least few decades old if not centuries, doesnt know much about gundabad (most likely this is an exposition to the audience, but they could have made it differently)

0:27 Wait, Wasn't Carn Dûm the stronghold of the Witch-King ? Also, i'm not a expert on distances but isn't Gundabad like far north of the Misty Mountains ? Way removed from Erebor ? Going there would take months, no ?
Also, waiting nightfall to infiltrate a fortress mostly inhabited by nocturnal creatures sounds dumb XD

all I remember of this scene is how the fortress looks undercooked, like the 3d model and textures needed more work, more details added, etc. I like the shape of the main tower/s, but I think this design, with some refinements, would be more fitting for Carn Dum, the actual capital of Angmar

This stupid movie may be physically painful, but not even it can mess up orcs getting ready to whoop ass.
Shame these guys were sort of just written out at the end, since in the book they were winning the battle, eagles and all, until Beorn showed up like deus ex machina to kill Bolg and win which would have been more impressive.
