Darth Maul & Ezra sense's Luke & Obi Wan and the end of the Sith

I like the fact that in Rebels you can see how thoughtful and deep Maul can really be, in episode 1 he barely talked.

Irony how the wielders of the jedi and sith holocron sought the opposite motives, Ezra sought the destruction (of his enemies) and Maul sought *hope*!

Darth Maul’s twisted version of “hope” is the chance to kill Obi-Wan. It’s all he ever wanted to do ever since his defeat back in the Phantom Menace.

I love how when the trailers first came out and we heard Ezra say the key to destroying the Sith, we thought it was gonna be some weapon or knowledge yet the answer had been right in front of our eyes and already played out all along - the key to destroying the Sith is a boy growing up under the twin suns - we all knew this, we just kinda forgot

So finally Maul saw Darth Jar Jar, Palpatine´s true master and will seek revenge. Sweet.

It's strange that the holocrons can sense that Obi Wan Kenobi is alive and that Luke Skywalker is the new hope that will destroy the Sith.

BEAUTIFUL reference to Luke's role in the Original Trilogy! And unless anyone has forgotten, Rebels takes place BETWEEN the Prequels and the Originals. That's about TWENTY YEARS APART if we're going by the in-continuity timeline. Luke is still a little kid at this point, if even that, so he's not going to join up with the as-of-yet unformed Alliance to Restore the Republic for MAYBE another ten to fifteen years.
Such BEAUTIFUL foreshadowing for the kiddies out there that have yet to watch the Originals.

Looking back, I wonder if Maul intended to do something similar to this with Ahsoka. He claimed that they could defeat Sidious together, but surely he wasn't referring to a head-to-head duel. Maybe he planned to combine holocrons with Ahsoka to gain insight on defeating Sidious a different way.

I like how Maul took notes from Palpatine and puts up a very affable personality to manipulate Ezra to the Dark Side.

The fact the holocrons have that ability to exchange knowledge And answer a question tells me there was a time the jedi and sith actually had a form of unity
