Anything of 720 is solid. If you ever want a home, u need a good credit score. Unless you just have 200k saved or u go for a mobile home at 80k and save up. Credit is important.

What he didn’t tell you is creditors want to see debt and how soon you’ve paid it off.
How do you pay it off = Money 🤑
How you get money = Good job or business
How do you get that at 18 = Wealthy Family

90% of credit score is paying your bills on time. If you are constantly late, or just dtop paying, it will reflect in a bad score. It has nothing to do with income and is entirely payment history. The other 10% of credit is balance amounts, number of inquiries, types of accounts and length of credit history. Anyone can have a 720+ credit score even earning minimum wage if they pay all the bills timely and avoid charge offs/collections, etc.

I’m 28 years old I don’t know what my credit score is anymore cause I had stupid cc and closed the accounts I don’t own a dime to anyone by the way I got a good savings and investment accounts

Having good credit is a good thing but at the end of the day if you can’t pay cash you can’t afford it. If anything credit should be used for emergencies. But credit in the USA is designed to keep people slaves or indentured servants to the credit card companies. A lot of countries run off cash and one’s income rather than credit.

It was a cute explanation from someone that probably has a significant income. People who are average or middle class run into legitimate money issues and get absolutely hammered by the credit reporting bureaus. So I say bs to this dude. Credit is a bunch of a bullshit.

So he started out at 18 with a Credit card meaning he really didn't have the MONEY to pay for what he WANTED!
Which creates DEBT to build something u could have avoided by just getting what u need.
And being patient and saving to buy out right.
Credit is money period!
If u don't have money everything else is void!
U get a credit card u have to have money to pay the credit card DEBT!
Hence money is credit!
My credit score can be 400, but if I have the MONEY to buy it out right isn't that my credibility.
The games and judgement of this system people play.
