Great video! Thanks to your channel, I figured out how to style a pair of cropped, mustard yellow, wide-legged linen pants 30 different ways so far. I spent an hour trying them with different tops and belts in my closet, and found that they looked good not only with black, but with forest green, sky blue, ecru, camel, even dusty pink. I was shocked. I've styled them with structured blazers, a long cardigan, crewneck sweaters, loose t shirts, things I never would have dared to even try them with before. Now I know how to make them look good for a casual lunch by the pool, to wear to the office (I work in a creative field), even for an evening out. I honestly thought I made a big mistake by buying them because the color is so odd and specific and not really "me." Yay!

I love your style and videos. It definitely speaks to the inner me. Turning 60 and living in a very casual lifestyle now is really making me rethink how I dress. I used to dress so much more stylish when I was working in an office and felt so good about getting dressed every day. My goal this year is to find ways to look stylish and yet comfortable in a very warm casual year round environment. Not frumpy and sloppy as I have been doing. Love this concept. There's definitely a buzz about getting back to socialising and attending events but it doesn't mean we have to go out and buy new. I think having something different to wear for every occasion is an outdated concept. Great video Alyssa.

Love your style sense! 2 questions: one is a please help us for many of us who have to wear an orthopedic type shoe —what can we do to make an outfit look great with our bad shoes??? Two, you have that shirt in a medium, so what is your regular size in a tee shirt or pants—you are so slim and look tall, would think that a medium would be too big?? Thanks for your delightful commentary, especially when you remind us, “it’s NOT the end of the world drama—it’s just fashion!”

Just when I was about to play it safe with a combination I wear all the time, this video inspired me to get out of that comfort zone a little. I own an animal printed top in a dark orange, and pairing it with khakis instead of black pants really looks nice together! Now all I need to do is play with my accessories a little bit 😊

I'm now on look out for classic white blouse and t-shirt. My oldest outfit is a Biba dress from 70s which is orange and crazy design, but highly unusual.
In our house we constantly declutter as our charity shops have great quality, so we regularly recycle our clothes. For ones not worth giving to charity shop we give to clothe banks used for donating for developing countries

I had to go look up the origins of “button up shirt” and “button down shirt” because I’ve only ever called them button down, which would be incorrect frequently. You learn something new every day! 👔🙋‍♀️
