Durning sustained strangulation, consciousness lasts up to about 15-25 seconds. The only way it can “return” is if strangulation ceases. These people felt the pain of their weight being “supported” by the tight rope. But that too was transitory.

Their bodies and lower extremities appeared to “twitch” periodically, but they themselves were not aware of these movements.

As a coroner, i can assure you that no one would take 10-20 minutes to die by hanging, 3 minutes would be a worst case scenario.

Committing war crimes to show how war crimes are bad is beyond hypocritical.
