Maruman Mnemosyne - PAPER REVIEW!

It has been a while since I made a video back in this space! It feels good to be home! I have been writing a lot over the last few weeks with several different kinds of paper and THIS is probably my favorite! Lightweight paper that can handle a LOT of ink!

My big thumbs up for this paper is that, unlike so many other line-spreader culprits (yes, you,
Cosmo Air Light!), Mnemosyne will, if anything, reduce line-width. Like magic!

I'm using the B5 as my current journal for more permanent ideas than my regular notes and I really like it.

Its impressive how there is no show through. Do they offer in ivory color! I do tend to use ivory color more than whites. Thanks for the video. 😊

I think that paper is the same as my pocket paper pad, i have no complaints about it, and considering it in a full size when my current paper pad is done

This could be a white paper I might enjoy....Usually write on ivory paper. Impressive!

I’ve never tried their paper before. I’m a tomoe river kind of gal. Only tried Rhodia paper so far. No Show-through!

My favorite paper is Life brand, Vanness has a good selection! The best for journaling in my opinion

Aloha Craig! Nice, short, concise review of something that I just bought, but have not tried out yet! I only got a small one, which may be the same A7 you showed? Love these reviews of things that are very accessible for all (as in budget friendly!) and of course paper choice is just as important as the ink and pen, so a must have. I wonder if Maruman has various paper types like Kokuyo? Mahalo for your content.

I have a few Mnemosyne #195 notebooks and I like them - they're not a patch on Tomoe River for showing off beautiful inks, and I've had bad feathering issues with some ink/pen combos on the Mnemosyne paper that I don't get in my TRP notebooks. But for such an affordable price, easily accessible and overall good performance, they're hard to beat - and because they're cheap I don't feel bad about actually using them as working notebooks, which is the best thing of all! (And no show-through! :))
