These are the only notebooks I ever use. My garden hose, wet, juicy vintage flex fountain pens love them as much as I do. It's fantastic paper in every way. My inks sheen the way they do on Tomoe River paper, the paper is thick and soft and velvety, there's no feathering, bleed or spread, there's no weird coating on it like with Rhodia, inks dry relatively quickly, they have micro perforations, and best of all, these notebooks lie flat. I just love them so much.

Enjoyed the review! I always have a spiral top-bound notebook on my desk, and that's one of my favorites. Would like to see a review of the Life Kappan notebook and also the Nock spiral.

Hey Mike I’m new to your channel and I’m so glad I found you thanks to the Pen Addict episode 311. I am a big paper fan and am still trying to find my favorite form factor / paper type. Have you thought about doing a top 5 or top 10 notebook / pad run down?

I would also love some Tomoe River reviews if they are on your radar. Thanks for the great content!

Mike thanks for the note book reviews i am looking for different note books beside my Rhodia which must be on par with the aforementioned note book. Liking the Robert Oster green inks i am a fan of his inks. So to me the note book looks worth checking out. Thanks Mike for another awesome review.

Thanks, Mike. I think there's a lot to like about the Maruman Mnemosyne pads. I really like the 7 mm line spacing which I don't get with the Rhodias, though I do wish for a dot grid pattern. The paper is high quality, but, as you point out, it does sometimes come close to bleed through -- to be fair though, I normally use wet broad nibs so it's hard to fault the paper too much. I like the micro-perforations and the double rings. They have rounded corners that handle abuse a bit better than sharp square corners ... and more. Thanks for comparing the paper color/brightness to other pads too.

That Colorverse Morning star ink looks great. I'm starting to really love the blue/green inks. I'm trying to avoid the expensive high-end inks when there are so many good less expensive options, especially from Robert Oster, but the Colorverse Morning Star and Gravity Wave inks keep tempting me.

Do you like the other Pilot Juices, 0.5, 0.7?

I enjoy their paper, just wish it was totally blank. But, not the end of the world.
