My mom has consistently filled my younger sibling's head with how awesome being lgbt is to the point of them transitioning to non binary. They recently got a buzz cut and dyed their hair, too. At least my dad is somewhat in the picture and I have a good relationship with him but because he is so much more down to Earth than my mom, my sibling doesn't like him and refuses to go to his house or anywhere with him for that matter. My sibling came out at the age of 9 and if that doesn't say something I don't know what does. No child should be thinking about sexuality or anything like that, just having fun with their friends. As cliche as this is, society today is fucked.

If a child this young is going to come out as “gay” it’ll be by saying “mommy, I like this boy” or “mommy, I like this girl”. Not by saying “I am apart of the LGBTQ” celebrate inclusivity if your child says their crush is the same gender, not by convincing your kids they need to be apart of it.

You can educate your children on lgbtqia+ when they are old/mature enough. Forcing it upon them is just downright wrong. It’s the exact same thing as forcing your children to be straight.

I can tell which of the kids in my school were raised like this. Usually ends in either self harm, suicide, or social suicide by proxy of being so intolerant and intolerable that their only friends have the same exact opinions as them. If someone younger than 35 says their pronouns are anything other than what agrees with their birth certificate, do not give them the time of day. Period.

am i more left leaning? yeah. am i apart lgbtq+? yeah. would i ever force my kid to be lgbtq+? never. thats their future to decide and id only open that world to them when they are old enough to know what love is and relationships and such.
