Wrap the cord. I discovered I’m a bee and it was so helpful. I can still remember the day years ago my SIL commented that she didn’t understand how my house could be visually cluttered, but when you open my cupboards everything is neatly organized.

I'm a Bee. Toothpaste cap is back on and I have one of those key-tube things that pushes the toothpaste down so that I get all of the toothpaste out of the tube. Cords get wrapped up in a tidy, visually-appealing way.
Your recommendations for Bees have been amazing. Clear storage and appropriate shelving has helped me so much. I have also started doing macro sorting and storing for things that either don't have a home or I never got around to doing that project. Letting go of some of the extreme bee tendencies, means that I can get stuff sorted and somewhat together (so much easier to maintain this). IF I decide that I need more micro storage for certain things, then I do it.

oh yes, I not only fold up my vacuum cord, I do it in an "8" pattern...because it looks nice!

Hi, I am a Ladybug and my friend is a Cricket. We were discussing how we have items on "hold" on Amazon. My friend talked about shopping lists by category and wish lists by person. I simply put things in my cart and then save for later. I suddenly realized this also reflects our different organizing styles. As a Cricket, my friend wants precise groupings of shopping ideas. As a Ladybug I do not mind scrolling through my save for later items and deleting items or choosing to add something to my current order. When I pointed this out, we stopped justifying our own way as better once we saw this as an organizing style illustration. No debate, no argument just continued respect and admiration for each other.

my style depends on WHAT i am organising .. some things get macro organised and others micro .. mostly hidden, sometimes easy access .. go figure ..

The point you made about not being done is so important. I wrap and tidy everything *once I’m done* but if I know I need to do one more room after some interruption I will leave things messy and out, even if it turns out that I don’t get back to finish the job for some time. I drive myself crazy. I have lots of piles of in-progress stuff even though (or perhaps because) I’m a recovering-perfectionist hidden micro sorter. Working on getting things finished is my biggest task.

I found my solution to hating toothpaste because of flip-tops that get messy, don’t close, and break off. My toothpaste is in a cute, squat, yellow-topped glass jar that used to hold a candle. I cut the label out, taped it on the lid, which was a bit of a mess to do so, but all good things take messes. 😜 Love your fear-to-love dragon presentation. I hesitantly adopted a young feral iguana that was brought into the animal hospital that I worked at, and he never became tame enough to be a friendly and happy adult, even when it was time to take a walk outside with a harness or a bath. Hissy and tail whipping. 😬 Enjoy the love. 😊

I may have jokingly thought, "Monster!" when I saw you throw the cord at the vacuum. I have never done that, lol. I haven't ever thought of that as an option, ha! 😉😂

Just discovered I'm a ladybug, my hubby is a bee and We have 1 adult butterfly, 1 adult cricket and 1 adult bee! It was fun for us all to take the quiz and so helpful for each of us to discover what we are... each person has said how helpful it is to know and understand why we organize the way we do! I flop back and forth with the vacuum cord... sometimes I wrap it up and sometimes I don't! Haha zero rhyme or reason! Same with my toothpaste tube! Sharing a bathroom sink with my hubby for the past 2 years has made me more aware of my messes and I starred cleaning up daily after myself, putting things away and just being more considerate of how he likes things! : ) 🐞🐝🦋🐝and a cricket!

I’m a mix between ladybug and cricket. Definitely hidden. Kitchen and office tends to be micro organized and everything else macro. I really like the “it has to be just as easy to put it away as it is to leave it out”

Yes, I do wrap the cord and hose. But, I wrap the cord quickly using my arm and then put the circles over the top of the handle rather than using the hook doohickeys on the machine and the hose I make as large a circle as possible to make it quicker and less kinkable for when I use it next.

I absolutely wrap my vacuum cord. And I’m so particular about it, that I wrap it different every time. One time will be clockwise, the next time will be counterclockwise, the next time will be in a figure 8 pattern, it’ll start from the top to the bottom, or it will go from the bottom to the top. Are we still like I need to change up the way the cord is moving so that it doesn’t break. LOL
