WHat if you had heated it from the underside of the board with the hot air would the connector of come off any easier since there are less components there and the grounding posts would get direct heat?

Did the device actually work after replacing this? It looks like you melted the crap out of that tiny IC chip directly to the left of the usb c!

Im writing this as im watching & just saw where you were complaining about the pin being bent already. You most likely bent it yourself before even bringing it to the board considering how rough you were while trying to remove the port! Seems like common sense would tell you that you gotta be gentle with those things since the pins are so thin. Esp before they're even connected to the board!

you always flood the pads with extra solder, so lucky you didnt rip them off!
