When im at the gym I see guys and I tell myself "man you have a lot to work then when I go out in normal public I realize that half the population is obese and im already in better shape than 85 to 90 percent of the people I see.

It's crazy it's like the people that are "just a little fat" are way more insecure than the ones who are severely fat lol

I'm 240lbs and fairly lean. Once a shredded dude at about 140lbs told me that my body fat is too high for them aestchetics. So I beat him at calisthenics and went home for dinner.

Jesus man this is exactly how I’ve been feeling for the longest time man. I was a fat kid and lost the weight. I then did my first bulk and gained a lot of muscle but I haven’t been able to shake the feeling of being fat again. This is an awesome message

This is part of the reason why I do not subscribe to a lot of what social media has to offer. People have forgotten to be happy with themselves and only crave to look like other people that they can follow. Go to the mall, or local restaurant and take an average of people under 20% body fat. It’s a human flaw to always want to obtain what we don’t have. Not to be confused with goals, which is completely healthy, but as in a jealous lust sort to speak way. This gentlemen gets it and has a very strong mindset. The world today is more about what’s wrong with me, versus here is what I am so thankful for. When you subscribe to a specific demographic (ripped bodybuilders, models) etc, of course you’ll think this is the normal day to Day life. Not even Arnold stayed in competition form all year long, and there were times he looked very much human. Mindset first is happiness with yourself and work towards your goal, whatever that may be. Alpha gets this. Good job on the video.

I was chubby and borderline obese my entire life, until I made a change in January 2017 to better myself. I've lost 100 pounds since then, and now I'm the leanest I've ever been. I look in the mirror and still see a fat kid, because that's all I've ever known, so it's nice to be reminded that one should be proud of what they've accomplished, rather than constantly critiquing and comparing themselves to others. It's nice to see things put into perspective. Thank you, Alex.

Body dysmorphia and anorexia used to be female problems. But now due to "fitness culture" and social media, guys are losing it.

Two different guys saw me doing weighted pullups at the track. They asked me about my routine, how I got my abs to show, etc..When I told them I was 40, they both thought I was 30. LOL

So being healthy AF and looking younger than I am, being pretty strong, and being lean enough to have a visible six pack is good enough for me. I could care less what my bodyfat% is or being sub 10% shredded. 💯

I do really not understand the dislikes... He obviously tells the truth. The insta, self-depicting, fitness-industry, leads to several types of psychological problems!!!

I like the direction your going in. Definitely aligns with my thinking. Noticed i was too focused on myself and getting big when it's really not healthy

You are awesome man. Thanks for this reassurance. The social media world is getting worse by the day in this category.

It is good that youre making these videos, Alex.
i remember Richard adressing this as well, crazy how our mind can trick us, even tho we get compliments we dont realize how above average we look or how strong we really are.

The BMI point is so true I'm obese according to it but it's because of my muscle mass that skews it. Nice to see it brought up

I think this is a topic that rarely gets discussed in the fitness industry. It's always about improvement, when often we don't stop to appreciate progress. Excellent content and great discussion. Peace and love

I'm not fat, but always feel fat from being bloated. I don't know if it's what I eat or what, but I'm always bloated. 'Always feel bloated' video should be next? 🤔

I feel fat at 10-12%. I was « fat » before during my childhood and develop an eating disorder during my teenage years and I was at 6% or lower (confirm by DEXA) for 4 years. It changes your perception of what lean is a lot.
