Stop your crying!

After being gifted Game 1, in this game alone you had the high stick goal which shouldn't have counted, the delay off game penalty that hit the boards, the no call on the stick to Motte's face, and the waved off icing that pinned the Rangers deep for a minute and a half. ... Get over it!

Classic Pens all the back to the Mario days. Get every close call and still complain. Funny that Sully doesn't know the rule. Instead of that guy holding his hands up, complaining then skating off, he could have bent down and picked up his helmet. Best part about beating the pens is hearing their excuses for losing

It’s both sad and pathetic for Sullivan to make the false claim that Lafreniere “intentionally ripped off the helmet” of Peterson, which caused him to skate off when the Rangers tied the game. The replay is clear. They were battling behind the net, got tangled up and both fell on the back of the net. No one was intentionally ripping off a helmet. That’s ridiculous and it’s beneath a Cup winning coach to make such a dishonest excuse.

The player doesn't need to go to the bench once his helmet is off. He can pick it up and put it on and keep playing.

NHL Rulebook:

A player on the ice whose helmet comes off during play shall be assessed a minor penalty if he does not exit the playing surface, or retrieve and replace his helmet properly on his head (with or without his chin strap fastened), within a reasonable period of time.

Penguins players and coaches need to learn the rules.

I thought being the rangers fan was tuff …. I can’t imagine being up 3-1 and having a lead in games 5, 6, 7 and still somehow losing

The coach doesn’t know the rule and then complains about it.

Doesn’t take away the fact your team choked away a 3-1 series lead

It was a dirty play by Pitts D behind the play where refs aren't watch, he tried to take out Laffy into the net when he doesn't have a puck when is a penalty, and while wrestling helmet came off, too bad

Pens crying about calls going their way is classic. They’ve been getting the benefit of the calls since Crosby first came on the scene.

"helmet was pulled off intentionally" he has no idea what happened. He doesn't know the rule and his player interfered with Lafraniere on top of that, then stood there with his hands out trying to get a penalty called. Stay classy, Sullivan.

Haha cry and cope harder. That’s what pens fans get for that BS call in game one. Series was over in game six.

It's a shame that a player doesn't know rules of the game in which he competes and even worse when a coach doesn't either. From the NHL Rulebook, under section 9.6:

A player on the ice whose helmet comes off during play shall be assessed a minor penalty if he does not exit the playing surface, or retrieve and replace his helmet properly on his head (with or without his chin strap fastened), within a reasonable period of time.

Coach Sullivan and Crosby should stop complaining about a helmet rule all that does is prove the narrative that Pittsburgh is just a bunch of whiner’s. You had game 5 and game 6 as well as a game 7 overtime to close out a serious and you could not do it. That’s called invisible defense and bad goaltending. The pry needs to acquire some youth this off-season that championship core is aging out.

Being up 3-1 then losing it all, I guess they can't help themselves from being salty babies

Well if we're gonna go there, rangers had a goal waived off in game 1 that should've counted, and probably win that game if it does. So it evened out.
