Fun fact: by rule he does not need to come off

It's surprising how many professional athletes, coaches, and commentators, and of course fan bases, don't know the rules of various sports.

Pettersson had the option of putting his helmet back on instead of skating all the way back to the bench, which was a bad decision on his part.

Ah the irony of the NHL we “care” about the players health so if you don’t have a helmet on get off the ice we don’t want head injuries, if you get chicken winged in head and get concussed..well that’s just hockey

As a coach, he should know the rules better. He did not have to come off. Instead of crying to the ref and heading for the bench, he should have put the helmet back on.

Should of put Rodriguez on the 2nd line he was flying all night and wanted to make up for the penalty in game 6, instead a rusty rakell was on the 2nd line and did absolutely nothing

Ok, your Dman losing his helmet, whether intentional or not
DIDNT CAUSE YOU TO LOSE 3 SERIES CLINCHING GMS IN A ROW, BLOW 2 GOAL LEADS IN 2 OF THOSE GMS AND 2, 1 GOAL LEADS IN GM 7

I don’t care how much they care or how hard they play or if you think they are a “great group” or a “privilege to coach.”

They are an average hockey team that is DONE competing for anything other than a token spot in the playoffs and first round elimination, like each of the past 4 years, as currently constructed.

Please don’t let everyone involved with this team STILL be in denial. I suppose the players can be a little, but……I pray new ownership and management is able to see things for what they are. 4 years in a row (and 5 series in a row) is NOT a fluke.
