Sorry you felt like that. I definitely know that feeling. I get the opposite. I work retail. I get look down upon by some customers. They feel like they are better than me based on their wealth, class, etc. It's never a great feeling. Try not to let that bother you. Have a wonderful rest of the week💞

You rocked it! I don’t know why some stores do that. But I was anxious with you! Thanks for taking us along. And I agree. I always say I inherited everything. Great video! 💕🌸💕

It's people like you that pay there wages don't ever forget that there there to help you, and don't ever feel below them they eat sleep and die like we do there no better than us, I worked in one of these places and it makes me so mad that you went away feeling like that, your just as good as they are if not better xxxx

Good for you to check them out! Tell them a relative died and you inherited her treasures.

I lived in King of Prussia back in the 80s when there were two malls side by side: The Court was the high end one and the Plaza was more reasonably priced. Even so, the most expensive store was probaby Ann Taylor.

Ok so story time I had a Chanel watch that I found at goodwill, thought even if it was a fake, it was a GOOD one. Took it to my local jeweler for a battery. He opened it up and said the inside was marked with the cc logo, and he was uncomfortable working on such an expensive item. I took it to Chanel store 2 hours away, they looked at me, refused to look at my watch (or put a better in it) and said they were sure I had a fake watch!! So I have a beautiful Chanel watch that I cant use to tell time! 🤣

Really, absolutely do not feel less than anyone. My goodness, you need to learn, so you don’t get ripped off. Most are happy to share their knowledge, if they have time. Remember, those people with accents are working for hourly wages plus commission. 👍🏻💜

You shouldn't be embarrassed. You don't know them, and it's a good thing, they're the ones with the problem! They probably were bullies in high school and need to belittle people to make them feel better about their i own insecurities. Look at all of the support you have. I always admire people trying to learn about something new. Shame on them, good for you. Keep up the good work!

My husband and I would go into upscale jewelry stores to look at men’s watches. We were always casually dressed. The sales people were snobby until they realized he knew more about the watches then they did. Their attitudes changed as they hoped to sell a watch to him. It made me laugh.

My sister-in-law shops at those stores and I’ve gone with her and my brother a few times (I’m not brave enough to walk in by myself as I couldn’t justify spending the money although I have shopped at Longchamps) and for sh*ts and giggles I have asked if they authenticate things and was told they do not. Not sure if that is just because they don’t want to or if they are just told to say that to discourage it. My brother and sister-in-law live in SoCo.
On a side note, my sister-in-law had a Chanel purse repaired (I went with her to drop it off) and they told me that they get a lot of people bringing in fake Chanel’s for repair and they are obligated to send them off the the factory for repair BUT the factory will not repair them and they are sent back to the store where the employees will call the person and tell them that they cannot repair them because they are fakes. It was interesting to get that little piece of info from a sales associate. They know my sister-in-law because she goes in regularly to shop so they are very chatty and sweet to her. I know if I went in by myself, they would probably be snooty.

Wow! You have Tiffany and Cartier in a mall? We don’t even have a mall any more. Btw, my Dad’s family settled in KoP pre-revolution. Beidler Rd. Is where the family farms were located. 🙂

Honestly even if your Hermès was real they would have still been snotty. Tiffany is the only place I would feel comfortable going in; they are always nice even if you are just browsing.

I hate going into those uppity stores, I feel like they are laughing at me🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️for my 50th birthday I got a Louis Vuitton and I could feel the security guard staring at me the whole time I was shopping😢

Kind of makes me angry around the edges that a store- a dang retail hole, of ANY size- can make a woman feel embarrassed/'trashy" being in it. Shame on that entire concept, you know? It's a bit gruesome for grown humans to not be more evolved by now.
Besides, they clearly missed the part of the book on "entertaining angels unaware". Dummies. =)
