Use Similar Triangles to Solve Problems

This lesson works though three examples of solving problems using similar triangles. This is one of a series of math video lessons created for the MPM2D grade 10 Academic math course in the province of Ontario, Canada.

@emdeth Yes, it is important to state that the sides of the larger triangle are all 5 times bigger that the corresponding sides in the small triangle. I shouldn't have stated the larger triangle is 5 times bigger because some people will assume that refers to area and the larger triangle's area isn't 5 times bigger that the smaller triangle (it's actually 25 times bigger).

example #1 has a scale factor of 5 not 5 times larger than Freds small triangle.Syntax is important I think. : )

The difficulty with the scale factor is the diagram is not to scale.

I rate this movie 1/10, the plot sucked, special effects were horrid, no character development, voice acting sounded like they wanted to commit suicide, overall one of the worst worst films I've even seen in my life.
