This lesson covers similar triangles. Students review the idea that the ratios of the lengths of corresponding sides of similar figures are equal. Students then use this idea to find missing segment lengths in similar figures.

5 x 4 = 20
Therefore 12 x 4 = 48
Way easier way I do it

Question: Find X
Tutor: Let’s put the X in the Denominator (Bottom part of the fraction)
Me: Why would you put X in the Denominator and not the Numerator. If you want to find X it much better to have it in the Numerator so you can multiple both side with the Denominator number instead of cross multiple

X/12 = 20/5 <- Multiple both side by just 12, also 20/5 = 4
X = 12 x 4
X = 48

You didn’t explain how you got the the answer you need to explain it even if small move or small number or whatever explain it how you got the answer

there can be such an easier way to solve this but you chose the worst way to explain it, you could just find the ratios of the other angles and then just multiply it. for example in this equation it was smaller triangle angle multiplied by 4 so therefore 12 multiplied by 4 is 48.
