Made Southern Style Collard Greens today for my wife on Mothers Day. Put mine on at 5:30 this morning by 11;30 they were done. They tasted unbelievable! I would have never used my crock pot if I hadn't seen this video. Thanks!

When I was in the service I was introduced to collard greens in North Carolina. As a mid west white boy it was so different but fell in love with it. Now I'm older and want to cook this. I have found meny great southern recipe ideas from watching you cook. I'm in the upper Peninsula of Michigan cooking for my family a bit of the south

Yum! Only problem is that there's not nearly enough collards! I need a much bigger pot - and then I hide them so no one else can have any!!!

Thank you for doing this. It’s so evident that it’s your passion but it’s also helping so many like myself who just didn’t learn. My grandfather was a chef but passed away before I ever had the chance to learn from him. So this really helps! Thank you!

I have done this recipe multiple times after watching this video. It is legit! Even with the smoked turkey tails I use. Thank you AB!

I cooked my hocks overnight. Used some bnls. country style hocks, (Salt Cured), pulled them out this morning to let them cool so I could shred by hand and add later to the collards. Collards are now in the ham hock juice cooking. Going to add a little cabbage to the collards to sweeten them up a bit. Add a little homemade pepper vinegar to the greens and let them marinate and cook. Gonna eat some collards, hock meat, cornbread and have a side of that delicious pot liquor. Going to be good. Loved your recipe, though. Nice and simple.

I've been afraid not confident cooking greens in crockpot. Only a pot on stove. So I believe I'll try it your way!

my mother was raised in the low country of sc, she was the best mother I've ever seen.... she would look the greens, rinse-inspect for bugs or dirt. then cut out any stems bigger than 1/16 in. then tear the greens by hand. cook a pound of bacon, put that grease in your pressure cooker on med-high. fold in the greens a handful at a time scorching and wilting them. add water and salt and two tbs of sugar to remove tartness. add vinegar after to taste. heavy vinegar at this point will cure cancer, ok I know it works on the flu.

This recipe is da bomb! Thank you so much. I used chicken stock and added a chicken bouillon cube for more flavor and it turned out well. My daughter normally doesn’t eat greens but she asked for more, so I knew it was a success.🙌🏽
