OK - many thanks, Vanessa! Here's what I learned:
non-verbal (Blade)
Greeting: "Hello!"
Name: "My name is Inigo Montoya"
Reason for being here: "You killed my father..."
Fun fact: "PREPARE TO DIE!!!"

I can really relate to the awkward 'handshake or hug'. A friend I've known for forty years were departing one another. I reached to shake. He reached to hug. It was so awkward. That was four years ago, and it still is top of mind.

I'm fully aware that this qualifies as a first-world problem.

Appearing to have low confidence isn't really that bad because people will make allowances but saying your name very quickly risks making you look like you're just going through the motions and that's pretty much guaranteed to put everyone's back up straight away.
Always saying your name clearly is one of the most underrated skills you can ever learn.

In case it helps anyone: i had a voice coach tell me to never use "my name is" and use "I'm / I am" instead. This spares words in your introduction, which helps you to be more briefly informative, is more direct and friendly at the same time, and presents your name in a confident way.

Great video Vanessa. Thank you for keeping it short and sweet and getting straight to the meat of the topic.

Handshake? Hug? Better option is the airborn chest bump. Most people won't reciprocate and you'll end up just awkwardly jumping into them and possibly knocking them over but it's the best filtering system out there. I mean, do you really want those people who delcine a chest bump in your life anyway?

Thanks. That was very insightful and delightful. I might have to borrow that I'm a recovering... awkward person punchline.

Hey this is really good and thanks for putting it together. I think it might also be helpful to differentiate more formal gatherings, say in the workplace, from informal ones like a friend’s party. Your presentation is great for the former; how about doing one on the latter? Keep up the good work!

Hi, Vanessa! I'm Eugene. Thank you for the time that you put into creating this video, which is abundant in information.

This seems so useful. I was listening for advice on how to ace an interview. Honestly, I wonder how much easier it would be to get an offer now. Warm confident people seem to deserve the job, and I think that employers will probably try to ask questions that confirm that they aren't being biased in favour of applicants with your warmth and confidence...as opposed to trying find even 1 thing that justifies hiring me.

I feel so confident just knowing the info that you share.

This video is very helpful Vanessa! I'm good at using positive words! Whenever I introduce myself to others, I usually use my first name. A fun fact about me is that I like dogs!
When I was at TJMAXX a month ago, I had an amazing conversation with a woman and we were in line to checkout our items and the conversation went really well! The line was long, but at least we had time to talk to each other!
